Proud today as my daughter competed in a Highland dancing competition, wearing her outfit featuring a kilt I made! She placed 2nd in the Fling, 3rd in the Seann Triubhas, 6th in the Special Fling. Dancing is another connection to our heritage. On her dad’s side, her great-great-grandmother was a champion Highland dancer, and her great-nana and great-papa were ballroom and Latin American dance teachers who ran the biggest dance school in Scotland.
