Some sad news out of Capitola. It appears minor, but the Capitola Wharf suffered some damage during this mornings high tide and big waves. The Wharf only reopened a few months ago after being totally rebuilt and this this time, some of deck boards popped up after waves hit the underside of the wharf. There’s also a piling wedged under the base of the wharf, but that could have come from the Santa Cruz Wharf. So sad, we can’t catch a break!
