What is the paradox of movement?
It’s the idea that for every action in dance, there’s a counter-action that deepens it. To bend the knees, we stretch more. To stretch the knees, we bend more. Movement is never static—it’s a dynamic interplay of opposites.
We don’t just move into a position and leave it at that. True artistry is about expansion, about hinting at possibilities beyond what’s shown. It’s about creating a sense that there’s always more just beneath the surface.
