I dont remember the first time I heard Bob Dylan. I do know that the second album I bought with my own money was Freewheelin. (The first was the Beatles red album. From Please Please Me to Talkin World War III Blues). I became a writer in part because of Dylan. The stories in those songs were life changing. The lyrics were like the passages of the literature I loved. I didn’t know that you could do that in a song. “But Mona Lisa musta had the highway blues You can tell by the way she smiles.” /2
