As I stood there in my baby bridal dress and veil, preparing to take dead Jesus into my body for the first time, the Monsignor told us to go give our parents a hug and kiss & thank them for our lives. As my peers dutifully scattered down the aisle and into the pews where their families waited, I paused mid aisle. To my right sat my father & stepmother and sister. To my left was my mother, my stepfather, one younger sibling, and an uncle. Possibly some grandparents. 🧵 1/5
