Eff men

I’ve worked in healthcare, especially oncology, & it’s standard practice to give our female patients information on the unfortunate reality of their male partners/spouses leaving them during this illness/cancer diagnosis. I see it all the time, men will leave their sick or ailing wives/partners because it’s “too much” or they’re feeling neglected because focus is not solely on their needs (sex, household duties, work etc), whereas the majority of women stand by their sick male counterparts.

This is an interesting post. I had an opportunity to leave my toxic relationship when he was sick. I think I did try, but the alternative seemed worse. I think it's not that we shouldn't be loyal, but we should really keep our female friends as close as possible as they may be the ones who ultimately see us through.
