We were here waiting for a particular species, but it never showed up. However I still clicked away. The most prominent bird at this set up was the Silver-throated Tanagers, but none looked anything like this one. I’ve never seen this species with a very distinctive bright white eye ring. I’m clueless about this morphism, however the bird looks phenomenal with that extra feature. Shot was taken at Canopy San Luis in Provincia de Alajuela, San Ramón, Costa Rica 🇨🇷
