I see a lot of people complaining about the “subway”. I’m say “subway” because if you were born/raised here most likely you say “the train”. So to that regard, I’ve been taking the train solo since I was 8. My mom literally walked me to the train station on the first say of middle school and was like “follow that kid”, which I did. I’ve taken the train every day since then and have never felt unsafe or had any issues. I do think it has a bit to do with being raised here, we have “train” smarts
