Today, I volunteered at a food bank, sorting and packing 11k pounds of donated food. It was eye-opening to see the waste items like bread, fruit, and even frozen meat were discarded if the packaging was damaged or the sell-by date passed. With so much food being wasted, it’s hard to understand why so many people are asking for money on the streets, including veterans.
