Not often I complain about the NHS but my 7 year old granddaughter has been ill with tonsillitis, ear infection, chest infection and now oral thrush since Christmas Day. Today she had a rash that failed the glass test, temp of over 40 and a stiff neck, DIL tried phoning NHS24 but the wait just to be answered was an hour so she took her to children’s A&E as she was displaying signs of meningitis only for them to berate her for not using NHS24 and send her home as it wasn’t an A&E matter! 1/2
