Pay should be for the job. I was hired as a temp at $12.50/hour. A year later I got hired "full time" and my pay went to $25/hour. For doing the SAME JOB.

As someone who has hired temps, I’ll explain it to you. We pay the temp agency a set rate, the temp agency, then pays you. We have nothing to do with your agreement, with the temp agency.

So you should have skipped the temp agency and get hired directly would you have even gotten the job on your own ?

If you didnt have to pay full price to test a product, you wouldnt. Its an introductory offer. That offer expires. Either the "product" is retained at full price or a new one is acquired.

The job I work at now hired me about a year ago through a temp agency which later fired me for bein 15 mins late once. Later on I got a call from that job asking for me to come back. Told them I only would if they dropped the temp agency and let me come on directly. I got nearly a $4/hour raise

My wife's boss made 150,000/yr and had my wife as an assistant, when he retired, she got the job at 55,000/yr no assistant.
