Yeah but you can still go to Disney, experience all the rides and shows, and still have a good time without paying for the Uber expensive FastPass experience. It’s not locking people out of the experience, it’s allowing those who want to spend the money and not plan ahead to do so. It’s a lot like how anyone can fly first class, but some folks scour the internet to find cheap deals and special tickets. Some folks just pay the full price for first class.

I would think there are very few theme parks that don’t sell fast passes, and it’s been that way as long as I can remember.

Disney used to offer three extra exclusive hours for onsite resort guests only who were willing to pay the Disney premium to stay on property. What’s changed is that tech has allowed it to become more granular, but the principle is absolutely the same.

I know someone there right now, telling everyone before he went that you can buy express special passes to not only skip all lines but have your own official escort through the parts. However, that option was sold out, so he bought an even more expensive third party option, essentially a ticket scalper, and got in that way for his family.
