We've got new neighbours upstairs. Like many Glasgow tenements, the flats in our building mostly have hard floorboards and the new people are quite stompy, which is really upsetting my partner as he's writing a PhD and is very sensitive to impact noise. Any advice for how to handle this? I want to make them aware of the problem without coming across as an arsehole or the Stasi.
