The Jimmy Carter story I always think about is how he installed solar panels on the White House roof in 1979 and set a goal for renewable energy to hit 20% of US power by 2000. Reagan removed them in 1986 and killed the solar panel tax breaks setting the US back decades.

2 小時內	Pete Lamb thepetlamb	Reagan's arrival at the seat of power signalled the beginning of the end of the US. It has been on a slippery slope ever since, apart from the respite of the Obama years. It could be facing into the end game now.. at the very least, the next 4 years will see it set back decades more.
