Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the US from 1977-1981, has died. He is the first President to reach 100 years of age. He was a fervent supporter of Civil Rights in Georgia and beyond and said that Coretta Scott King was with him and his wife Roslyn when he won the Presidential election.
