Where in the Bible does it say Jesus was born 12/25? Or what makes people believe it was this date?

The 25th is just a day to recognize his birth. It’s not the literal day He was born. If you want, you can personally choose to give gifts & recognize his birth on any day you choose. He wouldn’t mind. He loves your worship.

Honestly it doesn’t matter if he was born on 12/25 11/3 or 2/15. I believe the point is that he was the gift that was given to us so that we could have a second chance.

Believe it or not, most practicing Christians are well aware that it's not Jesus' actual birth date. Just like they are well aware that the hodgepodge of different yuletide customs and traditions that we have came mostly from somewhere else. Christmas is actually kind of a mess. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the day of the messiah's birth should be celebrated every year. We celebrate it not because it's biblical, but because we are people, and that's what people tend to do.

We don’t believe it was this day. It’s just when we celebrate it.

Probably the synthesis of some older cultural celebrations that we appropriated.

Please how many times must I repeat myself? The catholic church chose this day because back in those day the 25th was a day to honor there gods and the church decided to honor Jesus the Son of God the real God. Is not that the catholic church says it was that day it is because they honor false gods, look it up is there.

I can very easily tell you why it’s 12/25. Before Christ and Christmas, there was Hanukkah and other pagan religions, and Christmas became a mash up of those. Hanukkah is always on the 25th day of the month of Kislev and the closest month to that on a regular calendar is December. Jesus was actually born in June from what scholars have uncovered. Decorating a tree was also a pagan tradition first. Hope this helps. 🙂

It doesn't state it anywhere but given additional context around his birth, we can conclude his actual birthday wasn't in December. To be honest, I don't think his birthday is included in the Bible for the reason. I think if God wanted us to celebrate his birth he would make that clear the same what he made the holy days clear as far as the date and of what to celebrate, in the Bible.

There’s a lot of different answers to this but one thing to point out in scripture is when they found him he wasn’t a new born or a baby. He might’ve been a toddler. Matthew 2:11
