I would’ve gotten off. First of all I thought it was mandatory for takeoff and landing to keep the visors open. If I can’t look at the window, it’s over for me. I will freak out.

It is mandatory only in certain seats. Yesterday, I believe it was announced that all emergency exit rose and row one must keep their blinds open for takeoff and landing. I am like you, I like to have the window blind open.

I work for an airline. There's no mandatory requirement for visors to be open. Not even the emergency exit row.

Clearly it’s not mandatory…… it’s a made up nonsense when it suits the narrative

It is. If there is an accident the rescue people need to see how many people there are.

Me too. I choose a window seat every time so I can look out the window. I used to think I was afraid of heights, but I’ve learned it’s just a matter of being in a plane and enclosed but as long as I can see outside, I seem to do OK. I’m with you, that would’ve been a dealbreaker.
