Cotton yarn is the worst. And my biggest, when doing wearables I don't do swatches, I rely on measurements. Works better and doesn't use up hard to frog yarn

My biggest one is that some younger crocheters DO have more experience than some people who have been doing this their whole lives in CERTAIN CASES. For example, a person who's been consistently crocheting 10h a day for 5 years will obviously gain experience faster than a person who crochets 1h on the weekends their whole life. Not everyone who does this does it as frequently. Somehow, when I say it, older folks are often offended, but this is simple math.

Crochet socks can be just as intricate, useful, and beautiful as knit socks. I think that might get me cancelled lol 🤣

I hate when patterns are unnecessarily complicated. ie. *sc in next st, dc in next st.* Rep to end. Why not just split the difference and make the rows hdc across? I have ADHD and trying to remember to switch EVERY stitch is annoying.

I hate magic rings! I will never use one and will instead make chains into a circle and crochet into that.

Prym hooks belong in the trash, and I suspect that's where many of them end up 🤣

Undercharging for your work! ESP when you’re at a market and there’s another booth selling smth that def took them 4 hours and selling for 5$… like?? That’s just making me look like I’m overcharging?! 😭😭

No one knows the time and dedication it takes to actually make intricate crochet items… saying a medium sized blanket is 300$… ish… no one will buy it. Only crocheters know the true value of those items- but they won’t be the ones buying them coz they can make them themselves lol

I have never in my life done a gauge swatch.

I don't like the blanket yarn for amigurumi. I also have a hard time with yarn under instead of yarn over. Kids like my "stuffies," regardless.
