I had 5 weeks in Vancouver but it was a union job.

I do Not know anyone that has 5 weeks vacation, Most 26-28 days, max 30

I live in Canada, working for a multinational corporation, I have 4 weeks vacation plus 8-9 days during the winter holidays. Plus 5 personal care days. Plus 5 sick days without questions from my company (for more than 5 I need a letter from my doctor). Pretty good 🙂
