I don't know why this is so hard for people to understand. If you want your restaurants and shops to be staffed you need to pay them enough to have at least the basics. It's the same people who bitch about the service being slow and the fact that you are expected to tip. I watched as an entire restaurant became unable to fill positions because rent doubled in that city. I eventually left too, even as a bartender making good tips it didn't make sense to spend all my money on rent.
