Google is free but not always correct. I wish the ‘Google is free’ crowd would just swipe to the next post. Go be productive somewhere else.

No it’s to remind people that you need to look it up yourself like we did. I’m not going to do the leg work to provide you with info that I got from, you guessed it, Google.

No, it’s more like when you ask a teacher for the answers to a question and they tell you to go back to your textbook so that you can learn 

I think it's to highlight that you are, in fact on the internet, the single most useful information tool in human existence that you can use to find any answer to pretty much any questions about anything that you desire an answer to. So when you ask something simple that you could already have an answer to on "Threads" then you are wasting your own time and others. So when people say "Google is free" they are hoping that you learn from that moment and are compelled to Google something first

Tell em burden of proof is on the person making the claim; it's not your job to be doing their research for them.

👏 burden 👏 of 👏 proof! If you make the claim, YOU are responsible for providing the receipts, that means YOU need to Google it If some chucklehead rolls up in the comments and makes a claim and you ask them to substantiate their claim, either THEY Google it and/or provide the source, or they get dismissed. I wish more ppl would learn this

Only folks who aren’t self starters & want their hands held feel this way. I legit have posted WHOL SOURCES & folks still come asking for further explanation as if they cannot take 5 mins to click the link to read & educate themselves. Most ppl who don’t want to do their own research also don’t want to learn anything new, they just want to be oppsitional based in the opinion born of ignorance to the subject at hand.
