My son is like this. We actually found early on, we did a deal with him and no surprises for him, he either seems me link and I order exact what he wants (and I always get him double check before I hit pay) or we take him to the shops and let him shop. His 2 x NT brothers actually like this too. We do sometimes do surprises for them, but they like having choice. I'm actually very similar to my son. I hate surprises
