After an unsatisfying exchange re. the fine tuning problem and design in physics, I want to try an analogy (in 500char)!
You’re in a riverbed with many rocks piled haphazardly.
Where you are they are piled just right so your head is above water and you can breathe. If you look around you see that they are not, but you can’t see very far - perhaps they are piled suitably elsewhere?
How can you estimate how fortunate you are? Should you conclude that the piling where you are is deliberate?
