Respectfully, it wasn’t just kids doing this. Grown ass adults was also trying make people feel bad about not fitting into a box. We shouldn’t dismiss it as part of development or something we should forget because we’re grown. Being Black isn’t a one size fits all thing and being othered in general is pretty immature no matter what age.

🤔 I think whites likely feel this way about blk Americans going on and on about racism. Also from my memory these bullying kids were anti Black and colorist themselves.

Some of the mean girls became mean women. I was disappointed to observe and experience it at an HBCU for law school.
