Question to the TOG and SJM fans. I’m finishing Crown of Midnight - do I go to book 3 Heir of Fire or read the prequel Assasin’s Blade instead? Do I even need to read Assasin’s Blade or is it like a director’s cut of a film and just for the die hard fans? ThroneOfGlass

HOF kind of ends on a WTF 🤯 so a lot of people have trouble shifting gears to go to AB at that point. I loved AB. It shows C's heart and values and introduces many places in the universe that are relevant in the books ahead. I think AB and TOD are underrated. I read AB first and, like I said, loved it.
