We do a piss poor job of teaching other languages. Mastering French is on my bucket list because do recall much of what I learned in school but I also want to learn Spanish. GF knows some German but is working on Korean.

I've been traveling for three years now and have found that almost every country I've visited has an English speaking ability. How many Americans speak two languages? 20 percent of Americans are bilingual while 54 percent of Europeans are considered bi lingual.
