Hot take: you can be a great musician with little to zero theory and harmony knowledge but you can’t be a great musician without a great ear 🤘🎸

I think you can have either or. Not everybody has a great ear and not everybody can have it trained to be great. If your ear is weak be strong and music theory and know your fretboard. If your ear is strong, you can probably get away with a little bit of theory. Either way know your fretboard and practice your butt off because theory and a great ear alone don't make you a great musician

Just lets keep reminding people who killed their artistic side that one isnt born with a musical ear. You just need to love music

Taught myself a lot of theory, but my musicianship didn’t take off until I started training my ear.
