I was a little sad and somewhere between slightly hurt/offended, like damn, the pup didn't even let me make contact :( But as they were walking away, another guy walking past tried to say hi. As soon as he reached down, the Shiba jumped back, growled and then barked, and stayed near her dad's feet barking until they turned and walked away I felt better then because like at least I didn't scare her, she was quiet and calm the whole time 😊 (end)

It’s a shiba thing. Don’t be insulted/sad. They generally don’t just walk up to people. My Sake would do the same thing she did.
