I think what's important about this entire scene is that it gives us insight into Caitlyn's mental health when we catch back up with her. It's clear she's not sleeping well, she's questioning everything, & not only that she's with Maddie. Maddie is the physical representation of this role she's trying to live up to. Can she be the perfect kirramman? What if she acts like it? ( also in what world would cait ever date an enforcer) It's all so sad when you realize how she's feeling Arcane

Whereas Cait immediately breaks down in front of Vi, even showing her anger and frustration at being used as a pawn by Ambessa. She is the guarded perfect Kiramman to everyone else, but to Vi, she’s the vulnerable misfit Cait.
