As someone who has no clue where in the world Greggs is found, I got curious and googled custard slice. Wikipedia tells me that a "mille-feuille (French: [mil fœj]; lit. 'thousand-sheets'), also known by the names Napoleon in North America, vanilla slice in the United Kingdom, and custard slice, is a French dessert made of puff pastry layered with pastry cream" Sounds delicious. Further Googling tells me what it's called in my mother tongue, & that's when I learn that I have, in fact, 1/2
