Sex before marriage is not illegal there. Also not every law in place is sensible. In 1830 if you were a slave and managed to learn to read, you’d be a criminal. Blindly accepting laws enacted makes tyranny easy, most people(common sense) would agree that it’s absurd for someone TWO MONTHS APART to be arrested for having CONSENTUAL sex. If the government mandated that you could not hug your mother would you follow?
