Controversial opinion: Pointing out how certain fantasy creatures are caricatures of real world peoples/ethnicities/cultures/etc. may actually be reinforcing stereotypes rather than challenging them. Surely we should be working towards separating these things, not further connecting them? Pointing them out just further strengthens those connotations. Better to laugh at the idea that a Goblin or Dwarf (etc.) is in any way a reflection of a real world culture/ethnicity, surely?
