We arbitrarily split a 24 hour day into two 12 hour segments - AM and PM. I was thinking - 24 is divisible by three, right? So what if we split it instead into three 8 hour segments, which I’d call FTOTD, STOTD, and TTOTD (first, second and third thirds of the day). Or just FT, ST, and TT for short. It seems to match more with the average schedule: FT is sleeping and getting ready, ST is work, and TT is after work! Everyone’s jealous of the person who gets off work at 8 TT (4 PM).
