In 20 years we won't need a licence since cars will be level 5 autonomous and the human bit of the car will be obsolete and quite rightly considered too dangerous for public roads.

Driving an automatic is different to driving an EV. For example, inching forward in traffic uses different controls. In an auto, the brake pedal is lifted to move and pushed down to stop. In an EV, the accelerator is pressed down to move and lifted to stop.
