It’s written in our contract they cannot. The nerve that they still try.

I got a horrible evaluation because when my principal came in we were cleaning up from the first indoor recess of the year. The kids had no clue what to do. This was many years and another school go. Last week VP’s and other district admin were texting teachers to see if they were teaching the day of a planned for months field trip to get in walkthroughs they hadn’t done during the first semester. Your lack of planning and time management should not be taken out on us.

Or on Halloween, or the day of the Christmas parties, or Valentine’s Day, the day before spring break, etc

My school admin gets this, but our assistant superintendant has decided she wants to come to every school and see every classroom at least once a month. November and December she scheduled it for the days before the break. The day in December over half our kids had left because they’d finished or exempted their midterms. “But why aren’t you teaching these 3 kids?!?!”

Husband got observed the day after I gave birth- I went into labor 4 weeks early so he wasn’t prepared to be out so after being up all night he went in to make it through the day and prepare plans to be out the rest of the week. Exhausted to say the least and he was observed that day!

That’s the time to reconnect. I love it here! So many great admin!
