This is for the indie authors who didn’t get over 100,000 or 10,000 or even 1,000 page reads this year. Or who didn’t sell multiple books. Or whose debut novel (or 2nd or 3rd) wasn’t an instant success. I see you. I am you. It’s tough. It’s disappointing. Yes, we’re happy for those who are doing well but it’s okay to be a bit heartbroken at the same time too. Following your dreams isn’t easy. But remember success isn’t numbers alone. Chin up.
