Yesterday I made a post that Bert and Ernie of Sesame Street were named after characters from the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life”. Turns out that’s not true. But by posting that, someone who actually worked with Jim Henson replied in the nicest possible way to confirm this wasn’t so (his incredible kind reply is proof positive that he’s from the Muppet Workshop). This is one of the few times where not fact checking before posting lead to a positive result.
