That would be pretty wicked but I don’t think the VP is required / they participates in their role as presiding officer of the senate and when absent from that role are replaced with the president pro tempore. So think the president pro tempore would serve

Unfortunately these people have far too much integrity to follow this plan, as excellent as it is.

He should have done this in 2022 or 2023. The Democrats and leadership are partly to blame for this horrible situation by not getting their shit together sooner. That and just about half the electorate who bothered voting. Dreading the next four years. 😔
