The only reason why I can think that Meta wants to populate its own apps with AI profiles is because people who advertise with Meta pay by impressions and clicks, and AI profiles--who are not human and will never "discover" new things via ads--will count as additionally charges to the advertisers. It's a dumb cash grab that will actively devalue its own apps AND hurt the environment at the same time, and it benefits no one but a billionaire.
