Yes yes yes! I’m re-listening to it right now & I think it’s so important to remember the time period they are in! Sophie doesn’t shy away from her lower station & openly admits to wanting him and the ONLY reason she won’t be his mistress is because of her childhood & her bastardcy. She knows she couldn’t just marry him, she gets that, she’s not deluded to her station & she doesn’t resent him at all for it!!
