As 2024 comes to a close, I’m inspired by the progress the world has made, even on problems that once seemed unsolvable. And I’m grateful for a year of learning from brilliant people, experiencing small joys that keep me curious—like a good book or a great conversation—and, most of all, spending time with my family, including my newest granddaughter.

He retired from Microsoft years ago and started a charitable foundation to fund education, medicine, help 3rd world nations, with the intention to give away most of his wealth. You couldn't ask for more.
