Next year I turn 50. Today I uninstalled Snapchat from my phone. From here on out no more filters. The me you will see is the real me. The wrinkles, the bags, the age. (And the wild hair) Because I'm cute. Because people need to see the reality of others. The normalization of queer and trans folks. There is no singular "type". I want to be more comfortable in myself, I think this is a good first step. Maybe next year I'll do daily selfies.
