The US faces a constant reminder of the oppressive system that built wealth from Native American and Black pain. Now, any fight for equality under the hierarchy of white worth, is seen as a demotion of the white working class. This is the foundation and any significant cultural change must address the upheld hierarchy and its failures. Education is a start, true equality should be the goal.
