Secondhand > Everything else Kids grow out of clothes in weeks. Why buy new? And while you're at it, thrift for yourself too. Literally no one can tell the difference

I buy new clothes for my kids because they don't cost much more than used and last a lot longer. To be fair, I have two boys (13 & 10) and probably 1/3 of their clothes don't make it all the way through both kids. When they were younger (3-9) and grew out of their clothes quicker, we had 2-3 foster boys that were also part of our hand-me-down chain. And when they were babies, I did buy their clothes secondhand. I will only ever buy jeans for myself at thrift stores. They're $90+ new!

Hand me downs have been great. We love them and enjoy giving away clothes as well.
