We can do better. Yes, we can. We can show more empathy. We can care for one another. We don’t have to put someone down to lift ourselves up. We can support the weak, the sick, and the poor—because how can we call ourselves the strong nation we strive to be otherwise? How can we claim to live by the values of our religion? For our families, for our children, for the ones that need, we can do better.
