I don’t think that would happen. I fundamentally think high achieving people will continue to achieve. The Steve Jobs and Warren Buffets of the world will continue to thrive.

Most people won't. Look at the farmers in China during 1970s . They starved when the incentive where taken. Do you really think that they would have done better if you given them food?

I agree with you and have the experience to prove it, but it takes a special kind of spirit and humility to do it. To know what is necesary/enough, and sadly, not everyone wanna chase that dog.. either for concious reasons or unconscious ones..

Oh yes the high achievers will continue to achieve. However history proves not all high achievers always thrived. I'll note the last years of Tesla's life as reference. But then again how many high achievers have existed compared to those who just get up and go to work everyday because they need money to be careless consumers and pro sports spectators when they aren't at work and won't ever serve a purpose to humanity
