The most depressing reality of Singapore is the housing. It's either managed public housing and communal living, or shoebox condos going upwards of $2 Million dollars. Ofcourse there's the $5 million 2 storey house. There's also the right careers that you can rise to the top, not just any career. It is an unsettling realization, and the Singaporean dream becomes one of finding a second home ultimately, or accept the communal living and the $200,000 Toyota.
