Around 10 years ago, an American who had visited our city wrote a letter to the editor of a local paper complaining about how he wasn't allowed to carry a gun here. He specifically mentioned going for a walk in a park and really wishing he had his gun with him when two men stopped to ask him and his wife for directions. I will never understand feeling so scared of what's a regular human interaction. It's sad really.
