Idk, but brown and black leather steel toe boots are not it. Got called a lumberjack at work first time I wore them. I still wear them because I don't give a rat's ass. They're more comfortable than the horrible tennis shoe style I had where the toe box on the supposedly "wide" width was still too narrow for my wide ass feet.

The trick is not to care, or better yet mock them for being on the stepford wives nonsense

Any choice a woman makes will be mocked. If you wore 3" heels, you'd be mocked for putting vanity over comfort. If you wear comfortable shoes, you'll be mocked for putting comfort over looks.

Barefoot shoes are amazing they let the toes free :D

my only criticism of flats, that i will never waver on, is that (the majority) are just as bad if not worse than heels in terms of support, stability, etc and can also cause severe damage. very few truly good flats do exist (the ones that rock, rock!) but i overwhelmingly avoid them and tell others to for this reason! ps you should absolutely wear the sneakers or boots, especially if they make you feel supported on your feet!

The magical part of aging is you stop caring what people think. Wear what you like. I wear knee high combat boots to work everyday because I hate little rocks in my shoes and I found the perfect height to prevent that. I have a job where its half office work half traversing through plants. Im sure some think its weird. Im sure some think its cool. I do know that Im comfortable. 🤷‍♀️

Ladies under forty, a bit of wisdom gained from trying to please everyone for 35 years: wear what you want to wear. People (men and women) will criticize you anyway. The only exception to this is an event with a stated dress code. Otherwise? Be neat. Be clean. And appear as if you gave some thought to your look (whatever it may be). I achieved a new level of comfort when I implemented this thinking. I wear the same outfits on repeat. They’re quality, they look good and they are comfortable.

I never hear people actually saying that. Maybe I just don't care enough.
