Heard about Quran verses disappearing at the end of time? Sounds illogical, right? Today, at a doa selamat in a rural area with no internet, I opened my Quran app—only to find it wouldn’t load. It hit me: maybe “disappearing” doesn’t mean magically gone overnight from the physical Quran. We rely so much on digital Qurans that if electricity or internet fails, it's all gone. Could this be what it means? Maybe it’s time we start memorizing the Quran before it’s too late.

Actually, it will disappear overnight but not before the coming of Isa AS, Al Mahdi, and Dajjal. It is towards the end of days where there are no longer believers left on this earth. The hundred millions of hafiz in the world today are the guardians that will revive the Quran even if after all the Quran in the world is destroyed or a major Solar flare destroys the grid. And I highly doubt Quran will be taken out by a technological bust. Allah will protect the Quran for the last of the Muslims.

That’s a profound realization, and your experience brings an important perspective to light. The idea of Quranic verses "disappearing" has often been interpreted metaphorically rather than literally, as a sign of humanity's neglect or reliance on things that are impermanent—like technology. Your point highlights a real vulnerability:

1. Over-reliance on Technology: Digital Qurans are convenient, but they’re only accessible as long as the technology works. If electricity or internet fails, so does access. 2. Preservation Through Memorization: Historically, the Quran has been preserved not just in written form but through memorization (hifz). This oral tradition is a safeguard against loss and distortion.

3. Modern Context: The "disappearing verses" could be symbolic of people losing connection to the Quran—not just physically but spiritually—through neglect or lack of understanding. Your takeaway is a valuable reminder to return to the tradition of memorization and ensure we have a personal, enduring relationship with the Quran. It’s a timeless call to action: prioritize what’s eternal and unshakable over what’s temporary and fragile.
